В первую очередь рассматривается концепция веб-сервисов платформы .NET с акцентом на безопасную связь. На конкретном примере демонстрируется защита связи между веб-сервисом и его клиентами с помощью алгоритмов RIJNDAEL, 3DES и RSA, реализованных в структуре на основе кода, которая использует токен идентификации, предоставляемый веб-сервисом идентификации, для подтверждения личности клиента и токен статуса, предоставляемый веб-сервисом статуса, для подтверждения статуса клиента. Для получения рабочих значений этих алгоритмов был проведен ряд тестов с использованием различных криптографических алгоритмов и сетевых настроек для связи.
