La neuroeducación constituye un enfoque integrador que tiene como objetivo mejorar los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje valiéndose de las investigaciones científicas sobre el cerebro. Cada cerebro está organizado de manera única, todos tenemos el mismo conjunto de sistemas y sin embargo, todos somos diferentes. Algunas de estas diferencias son consecuencia de nuestra herencia genética, otras de experiencias y entornos diferentes. Las diferencias se expresan en términos de estilos de aprendizaje, diferentes talentos e inteligencias, etc. Entonces, es importante apreciar que los estudiantes son diferentes y que necesitan elegir, mientras están seguros que están expuestos a una multiplicidad de esquemas de aprendizaje. Sobre esta base, la neuroeducación investiga las condiciones bajo las que el aprendizaje humano puede optimizarse al máximo. Esta disciplina, que aún está en plena construcción, sugiere una forma de intersección entre las neurociencias y las ciencias de la educación. Hoy podemos seguir aprendiendo desde la neuroeducación, sin temor a equivocarnos, porque los resultados los podemos ver inmediatamente, desde la relación con los estudiantes y su rendimiento académico.
