Ernst Eckstein (1845-1900) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller. Eckstein verfasste zahlreiche historische Romane mit Themen aus der römischen Antike. Aus dem Buch: 'Ein bitteres Lächeln zuckte um ihre Lippen, eine Verzerrung, die etwas Höhnisches hatte. Dann lag sie wieder unbeweglich und ausdruckslos. Ihr Bewußtsein schien im Entschwinden.
