Przedstawienia czarnych ludzi w tych książkach odzwierciedlają i ingerują w konstrukcję tożsamości. Perspektywa tego badania uwypukliła znaczenie pracy pedagogicznej z opowieściami literackimi, ponieważ przyczynia się ona do (de)konstrukcji stereotypów. Aby osiągnąć cele analizy i identyfikacji roli osób czarnoskórych w literaturze, zauważyliśmy brak ustawy 10.639/03 w środowisku szkolnym. Szkoła jest miejscem wielu relacji, więc dyskusje na tematy etniczno-rasowe powinny być częścią programu nauczania, ponieważ raz nauczone, są reprodukowane w świecie społecznym.
