Holly Lincoln’s career is in a rut.Instead of writing hard-hitting features, her journalism degree has earned her assignments covering dog shows and pie-eating contests. Now her editor has shipped her off to review a candy shop near Lake Placid. At least McIntyre’s Sweets comes with a view-a six-foot, redheaded confectioner.Callum McIntyre loves three things: his candy shop, his Adirondack hometown, and the people in it. When the chance to get a glossy spread in a regional tourism magazine comes up, he grabs the interview. The story might just put his store on the map. When Holly walks through his door-sharp, ambitious, and beautiful-Cal can’t believe his luck. Three days showing her around town? He’s all in.Or is he?Every time Holly tries to interview Cal, he whisks her off somewhere else in town, where he is always fixing something. His restless charm and jack-of-all-trades routine feel suspiciously like a distraction. Holly didn’t come all this way to be dazzled by lumberjack good looks and jelly bean samples. She needs a breakthrough article, the kind that could relaunch her career. But the closer she gets to the truth, the harder it is to separate the story from the man. Because if Cal is hiding something, exposing it could save her career... and cost her the sweetest thing she’s ever found.
