El libro que presentamos es la continuación de la discusión de una tríada: educación física-recreación-deporte, desde la mirada de la Ciencia de la Motricidad Humana (CMH), propuestas por el portugués Dr. Manuel Sérgio a partir de la década de los setenta. Discusión que viene produciéndose en distintas unidades académicas de diversos entornos universitarios y culturales.El motivo fundamental de organizar estos textos que habían sido publicados como artículos independientes en otros espacios, es entregarlo como parte del homenaje que la Red Internacional de Investigadores en Motricidadad Humana estamos preparando al maestro y amigo Manuel Sérgio en abril del 2015 con motivo de su aniversario.
