Der Wandel der Gesellschaft, geopolitische Veränderungen, der Mangel an qualifizierten Arbeitskräften sowie eine aufkommende Rezession in Deutschland und die Digitalisierung rufen insbesondere in der Wirtschafts- und Arbeitswelt einen nie dagewesenen Veränderungsdruck hervor. Digitale Disruption erhöht die Veränderungsgeschwindigkeit darüber hinaus kontinuierlich, wodurch bewährte Geschäftsmodelle, Strukturen und Prozesse an ihre Grenzen stoßen. Agilität stellt einen Lösungsansatz dar, welcher in der Softwareentwicklung bereits zum neuen Standard geworden ist. Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, die Auswirkungen von Agilität auf die Motivation und Zufriedenheit von Mitarbeitenden insbesondere im Kontext großer Organisationen zu untersuchen. Im Fokus stehen vor allem die Wirkungszusammenhänge und deren Bedingungen und Voraussetzungen. Denn die Vermutung liegt nahe, dass Motivation und Zufriedenheit von Mitarbeitenden ganz wesentlich von der Gestaltung des Einführungsprozesses und der Etablierung von Agilität abhängen. Die dahingehend aufgestellten Forschungsfragen werden im Rahmen einer branchenübergreifenden qualitativen Studie empirisch beantwortet.
