Bangladesch beherbergt einen der reichsten Schätze - die begehrten schwarzen Bengalziegen. Ziegen spielen eine wichtige Rolle für den Lebensunterhalt von Kleinbauern in Bangladesch, da sie als Vermögenswerte dienen, die in Zeiten der Not leicht zu Bargeld gemacht werden können. Schwarze Bengalziegen sind Zwergziegen und bekannt für ihre Anpassungsfähigkeit, höhere Krankheitsresistenz, Fruchtbarkeit, Fruchtbarkeit, frühe Geschlechtsreife, größere Wurfgröße, Zartheit des Fleisches und überlegene Hautqualität. Ziel der Forschung war es, die Produktionsleistung von Schwarzbengalischen Ziegen aus 73 Haushalten auf Gemeindeebene in Bangladesch zu charakterisieren und zu bewerten. Es wurde festgestellt, dass Unterschiede in Alter, Fellfarbe und Standort einen großen Einfluss auf die Morphometrie und Produktion von Schwarzbengalischen Ziegen hatten. Dieses Buch soll Menschen in verschiedenen Ländern dazu inspirieren, ihre einheimischen genetischen Ressourcen an Ziegen zu erhalten.
