Im Rahmen der Experimente zur morphologischen Charakterisierung von lokalem Reis-Genmaterial aus Aus wurden die morphologischen Merkmale von elf lokalen Reissorten aus Aus untersucht, darunter Aus dhan, Lema, Chitri, Ausaloi, Aus gara binni, Kajli, Gori, Pankhiraj, Kumri aus, Surjomoni und Kalokochi. Die morphologischen Merkmale, der Ertrag und die Ertragskomponenten unterschieden sich signifikant zwischen den Sorten. Kajli wies die höchste Anzahl an Trieben (13 Triebe pro Hügel), die größte Flaggenblattfläche (57 cm²), die höchste Anzahl an effektiven Trieben (11 effektive Triebe pro Hügel) sowie den höchsten Strohertrag und Kornertrag (4 t/ha) auf. Aus gara binni wies die höchste Pflanzenhöhe, Rispenlänge und die höchste Anzahl gefüllter Körner pro Rispe auf, jedoch die geringste Anzahl an Trieben pro Hügel, die geringste Anzahl an effektiven Trieben pro Hügel sowie den geringsten Strohertrag und Kornertrag. Ausaloi wies das geringste 1000-Korn-Gewicht (16 g) auf, und Pankhiraj erzielte den höchsten Ernteindex. Von allen Sorten war Surjomoni die frühreifste. Kumri aus hatte die kürzeste Reifezeit (87 Tage). Die Gesamtergebnisse des Feldversuchs zeigten, dass Kajli die beste Leistung beim Kornertrag erzielte.
