Secondo un rapporto del Centre for Health Market Innovations (CHMI), solo il 40% delle innovazioni eHealth viene incubato nella vita reale. Ciò significa che il 60% di esse scompare durante il percorso e non fornisce mai le soluzioni sanitarie previste. Secondo l’OMS 2013, non c’è stato alcuno studio empirico su come facilitare l’implementazione dell’eHealth e manca un chiaro modello di valutazione della prontezza dell’eHealth validato che possa garantire il successo dell’implementazione di queste soluzioni. Questo libro fornisce quindi una sintesi approfondita della letteratura sui modelli e i quadri di riferimento dell’ecosistema di preparazione alla sanità elettronica che possono essere utilizzati, adottati e ampliati per disporre di indicatori di base per garantire che le implementazioni della sanità elettronica arrivino in un terreno preparato e pronto per la germinazione. La copertura sanitaria universale è fondamentale per molte nazioni in via di sviluppo e quindi il successo dell’eHealth è un modo per garantire il raggiungimento di questo obiettivo. Questo libro si rivolge quindi ai responsabili delle politiche governative del Ministero della Salute, ai ricercatori e agli operatori del settore ICT.
