Oferece um certo número de vantagens, nomeadamente em termos de desenvolvimento de competências, de motivação e de progressão na carreira. No entanto, existem algumas limitações, como a idade, o custo da formação e as políticas de recrutamento inadequadas. Apesar destes obstáculos, as empresas esforçam-se por gerir melhor estes desafios. O estudo teria vantagem em ser alargado a outros sectores e em incorporar as opiniões dos técnicos para aperfeiçoar as conclusões.
