Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Das Thema M-Business ist zur Zeit in aller Munde. Der große Vorteil dieses Bereiches ist u.a. das orts- und zeitunabhängige Angebot von Anwendungen und Informationen. Der Weg zum Kunden wird durch die Darstellung dieser Angebote auf mobilen Endgeräten realisiert. Im Endgerät ist dafür ein Browser notwendig, der die Angebote darstellen kann. Für die Sammlung dieser Angebote hat sich der Begriff „mobiles Portal“ etabliert. Dieser neuen Technologie wird die Chance gegeben, in vielen erdenklichen Bereichen zum Einsatz zu kommen. Diese Arbeit gibt einen Lösungsvorschlag eines mobilen Portals im Bankensektor für den B2C-Bereich wieder und deckt mögliche Chancen, wie auch Risiken, in diesem Bereich auf. Dadurch ergeben sich Handlungsmöglichkeiten, die für einen Erfolg des M-Business in dieser Branche notwendig sind. Um einen solchen Lösungsvorschlag sowie Handlungsalternativen aufzeigen zu können, müssen die Möglichkeiten in diesem Business bekannt sein. Auch ist die Entwicklung des Marktes zu verfolgen, um adäquate Anwendungen und Inhalte für den Kunden zu finden. Dazu werden Ideen und Visionen gesammelt, mögliche bzw. verfügbare Inhalte zusammengestellt und bestehende mobile Portale analysiert. Im Besonderen werden die speziellen und fachlichen Anforderungen des Bankwesens fokussiert und technologische Möglichkeiten sowie deren Grenzen werden aufgezeigt. Die technische Umsetzung schließlich erfolgt auf Basis von Open-Source-Software.
