Ein Rasterelektronenmikroskop mit einer Röntgenmikrosonde wurde zur detaillierten Analyse der vorhandenen Mineralchemie eingesetzt. Die mikrostrukturelle Analyse der thermischen Merkmale deutete auf Kristallisation aus siedender Lösung (hyaloklastisch und kolloform mikrotexturiert), einfache Abkühlung (diablastisch), Austausch (Pseudomorphosen) sowie Alteration und Rissfüllung (nematobiastisch) hin.
