Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Wirkungen der Migration auf Löhne und Beschäftigung in potentiellen Zuwanderungsländern. Die Konzentration auf arbeitsmarktspezifische Effekte kann mit der in den modernen westeuropäischen Länder vorherrschenden Bevölkerungsentwicklung begründet werden'. Zum einen ist die aktuelle Situation durch eine hohe Arbeitslosenquote gekennzeichnet, zum anderen wird eine Überalterung des Arbeitsangebots prognostiziert. Restriktive einwanderungspolitische Maßnahmen verweisen demnach auf die aktuelle Arbeitsmarktsituation, während aus langfristiger Sicht für eine Lockerung der Zuwanderungsbeschränkungen plädiert werden könnte. Auf Basis theoretischer Modelle wird versucht, einen Einblick in den aktuellen Stand der Forschung auf diesem Gebiet zu vermitteln. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, Anhaltspunkte für eine ökonomische Beurteilung der Zuwanderung zu geben. Weiterhin wird der konkrete Bezug zu Deutschland als potentiellem Zuwanderungsland gesucht. Zu diesem Zweck werden nach einer Übersicht über die Ansätze zur Darstellung der Migrationsentscheidung zunächst die Wirkungen der Migration in den traditionellen makroökonomischen Theorien vorgestellt, um dann auf Basis der Ergebnisse Ansatzpunkte für die Bildung einer spezifisch am Phänomen der Migration ausgerichteten Theorie aufzuzeigen. Bemerkenswert ist dabei, daß unzählige empirische Untersuchungen zu Migrationsströmen existieren, eine fundamentale (dynamische) Theorie der Wirkungen in den Zuwanderungsländern bislang jedoch nur ansatzweise besteht .
