Le manuscrit contient une partie des recherches de ma thèse de doctorat, consacrée aux processus migratoires au Maroc et en Bulgarie, en mettant l’accent sur leur relation avec la crise économique espagnole et européenne. Après avoir analysé le panorama migratoire dans les deux pays, la discussion se concentre sur les migrations de retour (cycliques) et sur la manière dont ces phénomènes affectent la société et l’économie espagnoles ainsi que les pays d’origine. L’étude comparative des deux pays porte notamment sur le montant des transferts de fonds, les plans gouvernementaux en matière de migration de retour, ainsi que les tendances et perspectives futures. Les résultats d’enquêtes spécifiques sont examinés dans le cas de deux régions frontalières : la frontière bulgaro-serbe et la frontière bulgaro-turque, toutes deux situées à l’extérieur de l’Union européenne. Des discussions générales sur le phénomène migratoire européen et les politiques connexes sont également présentées.
