Algieria jest krajem kontynentalnym, z populacją 47 492 737 w dniu 7 sierpnia 2025 r. i medianą wieku 28,6 lat. Ten młody, dawniej skolonizowany kraj doświadcza emigracji swoich umiejętności i krwotoku szarej materii. Niniejsze badanie socjologiczne, przeprowadzone w latach 2017-2023, dotyczyło kwestii migracji algierskich studentów w odniesieniu do globalnych i lokalnych struktur społecznych, a także historycznych i współczesnych. Badanie to doprowadziło do publikacji kilku artykułów w czasopismach i rozdziałów w książkach.
