Questo libro sulle microimprese nell’ambiente rurale congolese si propone di verificare se queste sono sostenibili nel comune rurale di Idiofa e di identificare i fattori che influenzano la loro sostenibilità. Purtroppo, in generale, le microimprese nelle aree rurali del Congo soffrono di un problema di sostenibilità, in quanto alla base ci sarebbero diversi fattori come le caratteristiche socio-demografiche del microimprenditore, la cultura imprenditoriale, la modalità di gestione, la mancanza di innovazione e il contesto.Le indagini condotte nel comune rurale di Idiofa, utilizzando strumenti statistici (univariati e bivariati) e l’applicazione del modello Probit, tra i microimprenditori, rivelano che l’85,1% delle microimprese in esame non raggiunge i 10 anni di esistenza. Tuttavia, le stime soddisfacenti relative alle caratteristiche socio-demografiche, alla modalità di gestione, alla cultura imprenditoriale, all’innovazione e al contesto in cui si evolvono le microimprese del comune rurale di Idiofa hanno un’influenza sulla loro sostenibilità pari al 63,6%.
