Es handelt sich um eine retrospektive Studie, die in der Abteilung für Innere Medizin und Endokrinologie des EPS Taher Sfar in Mahdia über einen Zeitraum von 2010 bis 31. Dezember 2016 durchgeführt wurde und 324 Patienten umfasste, die wegen einer Harnwegsinfektion ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert wurden. Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, die epidemiologischen, klinischen, bakteriologischen, therapeutischen und entwicklungsbezogenen Merkmale der Harnwegsinfektion bei Diabetikern zu ermitteln und die Risikofaktoren für eine Harnwegsinfektion bei Diabetikern zu untersuchen, um deren Auftreten zu verhindern.Unsere Arbeit hatte gezeigt, dass Harnwegsinfektionen bei Diabetikern signifikant häufiger bei Frauen und Patienten über 40 Jahren auftreten. Das typische klinische Bild einer Pyelonephritis mit Fieber, Rückenschmerzen und Anzeichen einer Harnwegsinfektion wurde nur bei der Hälfte der Diabetiker beobachtet, während reine Fieberformen seltener waren.Das Auftreten von Komplikationen war nicht mit Diabetes assoziiert.
