Com exemplos de Moçambique e Brasil evidencia a necessidade de abordagens 'decoloniais' centradas na 'autodeterminação' o livro celebra estratégias de resistência e insurgência epistêmica, sendo uma luz para a descolonização do conhecimento e a construção de 'futuros sustentáveis'.
