Na primeira parte, mergulha no microcosmo da academia, usando narrativas autobiográficas para expor violências epistêmicas sofridas por estudantes internacionais e revelando como a relação entre orientador e orientando pode reproduzir lógicas coloniais. Assim, inspirando-se em pensadores como Frantz Fanon, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o e Paulo Freire, [TC], propõe uma 'ecologia de saberes' para ultrapassar a 'Pedagogia da Incerteza'. Na segunda parte, aborda geopolítica e sustentabilidade, destacando que projetos de energia 'limpa' muitas vezes reproduzem exploração e criam 'territórios de sacrifício' no Sul Global. Com exemplos de Moçambique e Brasil evidencia a necessidade de abordagens 'decoloniais' centradas na 'autodeterminação' o livro celebra estratégias de resistência e insurgência epistêmica, sendo uma luz para a descolonização do conhecimento e a construção de 'futuros sustentáveis'.
