Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Mitte der 80er Jahre wurden in Deutschland die ersten Übernahmen von Unternehmen durch die eigenen Manager bekannt. Anfang und Mitte der 1990er Jahre wurden zum Thema Management Buyout viele wissenschaftliche Beiträge veröffentlicht. Aufgrund der zunehmenden Entflechtung der „Deutschland AG“ und der anstehenden Nachfolgeprobleme bei Familienunternehmen wird das Thema Management Buyout in den kommenden Jahren in Deutschland wieder zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen. Der Verfasser will mit seinem Beitrag auf die Wachstumsaussichten und möglichen Ertragspotenziale für die Kreditinstitute in diesem Geschäftsfeld hinweisen. Gang der Untersuchung: Das Kapitel zwei der Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Grundlagen des Management Buyout. Zunächst wird eine Definition des Management Buyout vorgenommen. Dann wird kurz auf die historische Entwicklung und die Anforderungen eines Management Buyout Kandidaten eingegangen. Im letzten Abschnitt dieses Kapitels werden dann die Tätigkeitsfelder eines Management Buyouts dargelegt. Kapitel drei beschäftigt sich hauptsächlich mit der Situation der Kreditinstitute in Deutschland und zeigt kurz die Situation der Vereinigten Staaten, Großbritanniens und Japans auf. Anhand der aktuellen Lage wird versucht aufzuzeigen, dass die Institute durchaus ein Interesse an neuen, ertragreichen Geschäftsfeldern besitzen. Sei es aufgrund bestehender Probleme in den angestammten Bereichen oder aber aufgrund der Innovationsfreude und der wachsenden Kundenbedürfnisse/Kundennachfragen nach neuen Finanzierungsformen. Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit liegt auf dem 4. und 5. Kapitel. Das 4. Kapitel analysiert die Zukunftsaussichten des Management Buyout Marktes und die Möglichkeiten für die Kreditinstitute neue Management Buyout Kunden zu gewinnen. Im 5. Kapitel wird der Ablauf einer Management Buyout Transaktion genauer analysiert. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die Leistungsangebote der Kreditinstitute bei einer Management Buyout Tr
