O projeto 'Conceção de um balancé para crianças com diferentes capacidades' consiste na conceção e estruturação de um balancé mecânico para crianças com problemas psicomotores em cadeiras de rodas especiais, que necessitam de entretenimento durante o recreio no Centro de Atenção Múltipla #19 (CAM #19). A conceção do dispositivo representa um desafio bastante complexo, uma vez que não consiste apenas na conceção mecânica do dispositivo, mas existem também variáveis que irão controlar a conceção final. Estas variáveis são a segurança física e psicológica da criança na cadeira de rodas que vai utilizar o dispositivo. Através da obtenção de dados psicológicos sobre o comportamento e os estímulos da criança, é possível definir parâmetros físicos, estáticos e dinâmicos para a conceção do mecanismo.
