Il fenomeno del malessere è parte integrante dei problemi che affliggono sempre più la società moderna. Presente in tutti gli ambiti della società e in tutti i continenti, come dimostra la letteratura scientifica, esso interessa anche gli istituti di istruzione superiore in Africa, in Europa, in America, ecc., in particolare l’Università Félix Houphouët-Boigny di Cocody, ad Abidjan.Il presente studio mira a descrivere questo fenomeno tra i docenti-ricercatori di tale università, in base al loro grado o titolo accademico. A tal fine, è stato somministrato un questionario a 334 soggetti di tale istituzione, costituendo un campione costruito mediante la tecnica di campionamento in loco. Gli intervistati sono stati suddivisi in due gruppi equivalenti a coppie in base al sesso, all’altezza, all’età, all’anzianità di servizio, alle responsabilità familiari, nonché all’appartenenza sociopolitica e sindacale. I dati raccolti sono stati elaborati utilizzando il test t di Student, che consente di verificare l’ipotesi di lavoro e porta a risultati costruttivi.
