Questo tipo di clima offre condizioni favorevoli alla proliferazione di vettori, come zanzare, lumache e flebotomi, che fungono da agenti intermediari nella trasmissione di diversi agenti patogeni. La persistenza di queste malattie è fortemente legata all’ambiente e alle condizioni sociali, strutturali e sanitarie a cui sono soggette queste popolazioni, rendendo la comprensione epidemiologica e contestuale di tali malattie essenziale per lo sviluppo di politiche di prevenzione e controllo efficaci.
