C’est pourquoi le travail actif avec les médias et l’éducation aux médias à l’école primaire sont des thèmes importants qui doivent absolument être abordés en classe. Notre société est saturée de messages visuels et verbaux qui sont souvent difficiles à assimiler pour les enfants. Ils ne parviennent plus à faire la distinction entre la réalité et l’imaginaire. De moins en moins d’enfants s’intéressent aux livres, leur concentration et leur patience diminuent (cf. Everling 1988, p. 7).
