Cuenta la historia de una pareja de prometidos, Renzo y Lucia, dos humildes campesinos que tendrán que enfrentarse a don Rodrigo, el señor del lugar, quien encaprichado con Lucía, tratará de separarlos urdiendo toda clase de maquinaciones criminales contra la pareja.
