En 1994 salió a la luz la primera edición de Los modelos pedagógicos. Una década después, han querido publicar una segunda edición ampliada y revisada de la obra. En esta edición se ha utilizado el modelo para diseñar currículos en cualquier nivel del sistema educativo fromulado por César Coll (puesto a prueba en la reforma educativa española, diez años atrás), como parámetro de análisis de los diferentes modelos pedagógicos. Su autor, Julián De Zubiría Samper, es miembro fundador y Director del Instituto Alberto Merani, innovación pedagógica que ha creado y validado de manera colectiva un modelo pedagógico durante la última década y el cual ha sido denominado Pedagogía dialogante e interestructurante. 10
