Dr. Ralph A. Wooster has written extensively on the Civil War and 'Lone Star Regiments in Gray,' is his third book from Eakin Press that chronicles the involvement of Texans in the Civil War. In this book he documents the organization, leadership, and combat experiences of each of the seventy-eight regiments from Texas that served in the Confederate army. Also included is a history of the thirty-five Confederate artillery batteries from Texas.Dr. Wooster is a past president of the Texas State Historical Association and the East Texas Historical Association. He spent his academic career at Lamar University where he was Chairman of the History Department. 3
