Steffen Hamborg bietet kenntnisreiche Einblicke in die kommunale Governance des BNE-Transfers im Kontext der UN-Dekade ‚Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung’ (2005-2014). Im Sinne einer kritisch-reflexiven Governance-Forschung zielt seine Arbeit auf die Rekonstruktion der Muster, die das Zusammenwirken der an der Verbreitung und Verankerung von BNE beteiligten Akteure prägen. Mittels einer komparativen Diskursanalyse identifiziert und kontrastiert die Untersuchung formalstrukturell-legitimationssuchende, subsidiaritätsorientierte und distinktionsorientierte Modi der Aneignung und Koordination von BNE in lokalen Bildungslandschaften.
