A tireless mentor of minority/global majority and socially-outsider writers and performers, he’s been struck by the lack of pieces reflecting different backgrounds suitable for performing at auditions by increasingly defiant generations of bold young actors. Lit is his - and their - response, designed to supply the increasing demand for audition pieces representing different racial/cultural backgrounds and experiences, and is a collection of short monologues by fresh and exciting new voices.
