L’obiettivo di questo libro è stato quello di studiare le proposte di curricolo di matematica per la scuola primaria II del Dipartimento dell’Educazione dello Stato di San Paolo. I documenti analizzati sono le Guide curricolari per l’istruzione primaria del 1975, la Proposta curricolare per l’istruzione matematica: istruzione primaria del 1992 e il Curriculum dello Stato di San Paolo: la matematica e le sue tecnologie del 2011. Il problema che ha guidato la nostra indagine può essere presentato come segue: come i documenti curricolari affrontano il tema della matematica e la sua articolazione con le altre materie? L’obiettivo della ricerca è stato quello di scoprire come i documenti affrontano il rapporto tra la matematica e le altre materie della scuola primaria. Il nostro itinerario di ricerca ha previsto l’analisi dei documenti curricolari prodotti dal Dipartimento dell’Educazione dello Stato di San Paolo (SEE/SP). I riferimenti teorici della ricerca si sono basati su Silva (2010), Apple (2006), Moreira (1989), Sacristan (2000) e Lima (2011).
