La matematica è una scienza presente nella vita quotidiana di tutti gli esseri umani, tutte le attività che svolgiamo richiedono decisioni basate su questa scienza, per questo la matematica ha avuto e continua ad avere una grande importanza nella società. Per questo motivo è di grande importanza evidenziare il potenziale della Matematica come campo di ricerca e l’UNELLEZ deve offrire sia agli insegnanti che agli studenti linee di ricerca in questo ambito che permettano loro di realizzare studi in piena corrispondenza con le problematiche specifiche dei diversi campi di azione. In questo senso, l’obiettivo della presente ricerca è stato quello di elaborare le Linee di Ricerca nell’Area della Matematica del Vice-Rettorato di Pianificazione e Sviluppo Sociale dell’UNELLEZ, nonché di diagnosticare la situazione attuale delle linee di ricerca nell’area della Matematica del Vice-Rettorato di Pianificazione e Sviluppo Sociale dell’UNELLEZ. Lo studio si inquadra in una ricerca sul campo, descrittiva e in un progetto speciale.
