Ancorando sistematicamente le sue argomentazioni all’approccio elicitivo di trasformazione dei conflitti, l’autrice inizia analizzando le radici della Comunicazione Nonviolenta sviluppata da Marshall Rosenberg. Prosegue descrivendo l’arte giapponese dell’aikido, in particolare le sue origini storiche e le sue radici spirituali, con particolare attenzione allo Shinto, al buddismo Shingon e alla setta Omoto kyo. Infine, presenta l’amalgama filosofico della Comunicazione Nonviolenta e dell’aikido, visto dal punto di vista di un praticante. Infatti, costruisce le sue argomentazioni sulla sua pratica dell’Arte della Pace e riunisce metodicamente gli aspetti verbali e non verbali della nonviolenza per creare una comprensione olistica della trasformazione elicitiva dei conflitti, che chiama Aiki-NVC.
