Foi desenvolvido o protótipo de uma máquina de limpeza de estábulos de vacas leiteiras, capaz de funcionar com um motor elétrico. O transportador de correia, equipado com um conjunto de lâminas raspadoras em forma de L, transporta o estrume do gado e outros resíduos da superfície do solo do abrigo dos animais para a caixa de recolha de estrume. A máquina teve um desempenho ótimo a velocidades de avanço de 0,4 m/s e com uma velocidade periférica do tapete transportador de 0,9 m/s. Além disso, um ângulo de inclinação da plataforma de 290 graus foi considerado ótimo com base nas propriedades físicas e reológicas e nos testes de desempenho da máquina.A máquina atinge uma taxa média de recolha de estrume de bovino de aproximadamente 2740 kg/h. Pode limpar uma área de aproximadamente 864 m²/h, uma tarefa que exigiria cerca de 8 horas-homem utilizando métodos manuais para a mesma área. Concebida para pequenos e grandes piquetes, a máquina permite uma fácil manobrabilidade por parte do operador a partir de uma distância segura de alguns centímetros na parte traseira da máquina.A máquina reduz significativamente o trabalho árduo e o desconforto experimentado pelos trabalhadores durante a recolha de estrume, resultando num aumento da produção e numa melhor qualidade de trabalho
