Este estudo explora a liderança nas escolas e o seu impacto na cultura escolar produtiva dos resultados da 12ª classe, e centra-se na liderança escolar em escolas selecionadas no Circuito Oeste de Sekgosese no Distrito de Capricórnio na Província do Limpopo. A liderança desempenha um papel vital no funcionamento de qualquer organização, seja ela empresarial ou educativa, e o conceito de liderança tornou-se mais proeminente na última década. Para compreender melhor o conceito de liderança, é efectuada uma revisão da literatura. Esta revisão destaca as diferenças entre liderança e gestão e explora os diferentes estilos de liderança. Este estudo conclui que os desafios de liderança representam uma séria ameaça à obtenção de bons resultados no 12.º ano (12.º ano) no Circuito Oeste de Sekgosese. Estes desafios emanam de uma variedade de factores, tais como a falta de disciplina, a equipa de gestão escolar disfuncional, o envolvimento dos pais, a cultura de ensino e aprendizagem, o currículo e as possíveis soluções para a liderança.
