C’est l’une des raisons pour lesquelles il y a plein de rebelles et de groupes militants contre les autorités dans beaucoup de pays riches en ressources, surtout en Afrique subsaharienne. À partir de données panel de 1980 à 2010 sur 34 pays d’Afrique subsaharienne, cet article examine si l’autorité institutionnalisée, qui est un indicateur de l’autorité de l’État, peut modifier la relation négative entre les ressources naturelles et la croissance économique. La principale conclusion est que l’autorité institutionnalisée peut modifier la relation négative qui existe entre les ressources naturelles et la croissance économique.
