Ils étaient tous préoccupés par le monde dans lequel ils vivaient et non par leurs intérêts égoïstes. Ils soutenaient que l’Advaïta avait des solutions pour un progrès matériel durable ainsi que pour atteindre des objectifs spirituels. Ils cherchaient à surmonter l’égoïsme et à atteindre la perfection individuelle, ce qui conduirait au bien-être social. Ils mettaient en avant l’humanisme en termes de rôle de l’individu dans la société, où l’intérêt de l’individu se confond complètement avec celui de la société. Ils ont suggéré l’abnégation et le sacrifice de soi comme esprit permanent pour la cause de l’humanisme, car les graines de l’humanisme doivent être cultivées et développées à travers le concept de socialisation. C’est le message que nous recevons de la vie et des idéaux de tous ces grands penseurs de l’Inde contemporaine et il met en évidence l’humanisme spirituel qui est un aspect dominant de leur philosophie.
