Le présent texte a pour objectif d’étudier l’État providence au Brésil entre les années 1930 et 1990. Pour cela, cette monographie est divisée en trois chapitres, plus les considérations finales. Le premier chapitre traite de l’État dans la société de classes, le deuxième du keynésianisme et le troisième spécifiquement de l’État providence. Ce dernier est subdivisé en deux parties qui contextualisent le moment historique où les politiques sociales ont commencé à émerger au Brésil et la manière dont elles se sont configurées. Enfin, les conclusions finales visent à analyser l’ensemble du contenu présenté. La méthodologie adoptée est le matérialisme historique dialectique et les données sont tirées de textes d’auteurs qui traitent du sujet.
