L’auteur peint les beaux souvenirs de son enfance et les secrets de la vie. Il relate d’une façon imagée l’ambiance de jadis à travers quelques récits pleins de fraîcheur. Ses mémoires reflètent la coexistence et l’amitié entre les voisins et les ethnies.  Il décrit l’amitié qui liait les habitants ’ parfois un bouquet de jasmin était suffisant pour nouer un lien et pour créer un beau moment. L’auteur nous fait sentir la simplicité et la joie de vivre des habitants qu’il a connus. 3
