Depuis longtemps, l’éducation violente joue un rôle déterminant dans les familles. Autrefois, la violence physique envers les enfants était considérée comme un moyen éducatif courant. L’objectif du présent travail est de décrire et d’analyser les méthodes éducatives décrites dans les manuels pratiques de l’époque du national-socialisme jusqu’en 1989. Les méthodes éducatives de l’époque se caractérisaient par la dureté, la discipline et la violence sous ses formes les plus diverses. Cela ne comprenait pas seulement les mauvais traitements physiques, car la violence commence déjà par la privation des besoins fondamentaux ou dans le cadre de menaces manipulatrices. L’affection physique et la prise en compte des besoins des enfants étaient également largement absentes. Les enfants devaient se soumettre à la soif de pouvoir des adultes. Toute opposition aux règles était punie. La priorité absolue était donnée à l’éducation aux vertus importantes, telles que l’obéissance et la discipline. Pour les enfants, cette forme d’éducation peut toutefois avoir des conséquences désastreuses qui les accompagnent toute leur vie.
