Das Thema unserer Forschung ist 'die Problematik von Landstreitigkeiten im städtischen Umfeld: der Fall des ersten Arrondissements von N’Djaména (Tschad)'. Der Grund für die Wahl dieses Themas war das Wiederaufflammen der Kämpfe zwischen den 'Boulamat' und anderen Akteuren um Grund und Boden. Darüber hinaus gibt es zahlreiche Literatur, die sich mit Landfragen befasst hat. Insbesondere die Arbeiten von (LAMBITAM: 2004, HOUDEINGAR :2012, MOUPOU et al. 2010, DONG MOUGNOL et al 2010, LEUMAKO NONGNI: 2015, NJOYA NDAM 2021), sehr wenige erforschen die Einmischung der traditionellen Führer in die Kämpfe um den Boden. Die Frage, die als Leitfaden für unsere Analyse diente, wurde wie folgt formuliert: Wie kann man verstehen und erklären, dass die 'Boulamat', die eigentlich Frieden und Harmonie zwischen der Bevölkerung herstellen sollten, zu Anstiftern von Spannungen um Land werden? Mit anderen Worten: Wie kann man die Handlungen der 'Boulamat' in Bezug auf Grund und Boden erklären? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, haben wir die folgende Hypothese aufgestellt: Die Zunahme von Landstreitigkeiten in städtischen Gebieten im Tschad hat ihre Ursache in der von den 'Boulamat' organisierten Bodenspekulation.
