Le 16 novembre 2019 marque l’apparition du premier cas du nouveau coronavirus en Chine plus précisément dans la ville de Wuhan. Mais, c’est à partir du 04 mars 2020, après la détection du premier cas atteint du Covid-19, que les hautes autorités du Cameroun décident de prendre des mesures nationales et d’appliquer les prescriptions internationales de lutte contre ce virus sur le territoire. Erigé en pandémie le 30 janvier 2020 par l’OMS, le Covid-19 avait entrainé un remodelage des comportements et d’actions, et, amène à se demander si son apparition avait-elle influencé le secteur économique. Dans une analyse économique et des politiques publiques, l’auteur replonge dans cette période pour mettre en relief les particularités économiques identifiées pendant la gestion du Covid-19 à Douala 3e, en montrant les effets induits et quelques solutions à adopter pour l’efficacité du système de santé camerounais.
