Ce document examine l’effet des annonces de notation de crédit publiées par les trois principales agences de notation sur les obligations d’État européennes en se penchant sur un domaine clé et sur trois sujets interdépendants. Premièrement, j’évalue l’impact des annonces de notation de crédit sur les rendements des emprunts d’État européens. Deuxièmement, j’évalue leur effet sur la pente de la courbe des rendements souverains. Troisièmement, j’évalue les implications de la crise de la dette souveraine européenne sur l’effet d’annonce des notations de crédit. Quatrièmement, j’analyse l’influence des changements de notation sur les rendements anormaux des obligations d’État, en fonction de l’appartenance ou non du pays à la zone euro et de son appartenance ou non à la zone périphérique .
