Dans cet ouvrage, après avoir présenté le cadre théorique, nous présentons une étude empirique sur les professionnels qui montent les informations diffusées par la télévision publique portugaise (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal [RTP]). En Portugal continental, les informations diffusées par la RTP sont généralement montées en vidéo par des monteurs d’images basés à la RTP-Lisbonne et à la RTP-Porto, ainsi que par les reporters image affectés aux différentes délégations régionales de la RTP. Il convient de souligner que cette recherche a bénéficié de la participation de l’ensemble de la population, c’est-à-dire de tous les monteurs d’images de RTP-Lisbonne et de RTP-Porto, ainsi que de tous les reporters image des délégations régionales de la RTP.
