Intense inter-firm competition has driven companies to incorporate new organisational strategies in order to constantly improve the performance of their production and management processes. This book presents the development of a system for supplying raw materials to the production line of a company in the auto parts sector that works under the lean manufacturing philosophy. This system aims to improve the internal flow of materials and optimise the labour and equipment used.
