L’obiettivo era quello di far luce sull’interazione tra valori, genere e comportamenti di leadership. Il libro mette in evidenza la natura di genere dei cambiamenti e come questi possano avere un impatto diverso sui leader uomini e donne. Dimostra che, nonostante valori simili, la posizione dei leader uomini e donne è diseguale. Sono stati individuati diversi fattori che contribuiscono a questa disparità di posizione tra uomini e donne, tra cui le diverse carriere, i comportamenti discriminatori nei confronti delle donne e le nuove competenze, come l’alfabetizzazione informatica, in cui sono più numerosi gli uomini che le donne.
