Questo studio si proponeva di scoprire le prospettive e le sfide delle stazioni radiofoniche online in Nigeria. Lo studio è stato guidato da cinque obiettivi di ricerca. Per la raccolta dei dati è stato utilizzato un metodo di indagine, con questionari e ricerche in biblioteca. Sono stati utilizzati dati primari e secondari e i dati sono stati analizzati utilizzando un pacchetto statistico, presentati in frequenza, tabelle e percentuali. Su 230 intervistati, i risultati hanno rivelato che le prospettive della radio online sono molteplici: informare, intrattenere ed educare le masse. È emerso anche che ci sono sfide legate al personale, alle attrezzature, all’alimentazione, alla mancanza di sostegno da parte del governo nei confronti delle trasmissioni online. Lo studio raccomanda quindi che il governo e la direzione delle trasmissioni radiofoniche online prendano in seria considerazione le operazioni di broadcasting online al fine di raggiungere le sue funzioni di intrattenimento, informazione ed educazione. Lo studio raccomanda inoltre di ridurre le sfide che la radiofonia online deve affrontare.
