The web is very present in our lives, especially in the form of interface and digital design. But what relationship do we have with it? Can it communicate with us through its own language or is it based on digital communication? Web design has been studied a lot since its appearance, but has anyone ever wondered what the analysis of language and communication could bring to it? It seems interesting and coherent, according to my personal background, to study it more precisely as its own language, or system of signs carrying meaning, in order to demonstrate that it can be independent of communication and that it holds a meaning that is sometimes more innate and intuitive than a written or oral language. This study aims to clarify the role that language sciences and communication can have in graphic creation for the web and digital design. Its problematic is the following: Language sciences and communication in digital design: is digital design a language? It raises the question of the independence of digital design from communication by deciphering the nature of their relationship.
