Pertanto, le recenti tecnologie per la casa intelligente mirano a migliorare la salute e la qualità della vita degli anziani monitorando il comportamento e le condizioni di salute nel loro ambiente domestico. Tuttavia, sono ancora molte le preoccupazioni relative al monitoraggio dei dati privati. Lo studio valuta l’attuale accettazione delle funzioni di monitoraggio di una specifica tecnologia per la casa intelligente, l’eWALL, e identifica i fattori per migliorare l’accettazione. È stato condotto un test di usabilità su piccola scala con 11 partecipanti, orientato ai costrutti chiave del modello UTAUT. L’accettazione complessiva è risultata neutra. Tuttavia, il monitoraggio dei dati privati è ancora visto come una barriera all’uso della tecnologia, poiché l’utilità è stata percepita come piuttosto bassa. Questa tesi di ricerca discute le misure per migliorare l’accettazione della tecnologia della casa intelligente e per renderla più fattibile per una futura implementazione.
