La scuola è sempre stata considerata la più importante istituzione di socializzazione politica secolare - la trasmissione di 'conoscenze, credenze, atteggiamenti, valori, norme e simboli'. È quindi plausibile ipotizzare che il sistema educativo non serva solo a impartire conoscenze e competenze, ma svolga anche un ruolo importante nel mantenimento e nella stabilizzazione del governo. Questa tesi affronta il tema della politica scolastica nazionalsocialista e mira a mostrare quanto efficacemente e rapidamente la politica scolastica nazionalsocialista si sia affermata nelle scuole rurali e quale sia stato l’impatto delle decisioni/eventi (socio)politici del regime nazionalsocialista sulla vita scolastica quotidiana. L’analisi si baserà sulle cronache scolastiche della scuola secondaria di Frohnleiten dal 1938 al 1948. In questo caso è stato utilizzato il metodo della critica storica delle fonti scritte.
