Depuis toujours, l’école est considérée comme la principale institution de socialisation politique laïque - la transmission de 'connaissances, de croyances, d’attitudes affectives, de valeurs, de normes et de symboles'. Il est donc plausible de supposer que le système éducatif ne sert pas seulement à transmettre des connaissances et des compétences, mais qu’il joue également un rôle important dans le maintien et la stabilisation de la domination. Le présent travail traite de la thématique de la politique scolaire nationale-socialiste et doit montrer avec quelle efficacité et quelle rapidité la politique scolaire nationale-socialiste s’est établie dans l’école rurale et quels effets les décisions/événements (socio-)politiques du régime nazi ont eu sur le quotidien de l’école. C’est ce qu’il s’agit de saisir à l’aide des chroniques scolaires de l’école secondaire de Frohnleiten des années 1938 à 1948. Pour ce faire, nous avons utilisé la méthode de la critique historique des sources écrites.
